It’s definitely winter this week! The temperature has stayed near freezing, the wind is blowing and it has been mostly cloudy. This all means that I stay COLD. To thaw out my feet before bed I do one of two things. Heat up my hand made rice bag scented with lavender and ylang ylang to put at the end of my bed, or take a long, hot bath with epsom salt, himalayan salt, dead sea salt, baking soda and essential oils that match my mood.
So this brings me to my first favorite thing for the month of February! Our new bath salts that will be available the second Sunday of February. Add a generous handful to a cup of hot water, stir until dissolved and add it to your bath water. The health benefits of the salts, baking soda and essential oils are long. Anything from stress relief, muscle soreness, skin irritation, detox benefits, magnesium intake among many more. Skin is the body’s biggest organ, it will absorb all the wonderful minerals and essential oils and leave a person feeling new. I really love going to bed warm instead of cold throughout my bones.
My second favorite thing to share with you is Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother. The health benefits of drinking ACV each day are amazing. From weight loss, immune boosting, energy boosting and keeping the body alkaline rather than acidic. An acidic body breeds illness, including cancer, and ACV can help counteract this huge problem in America. I highly urge everyone to give it a try. Dilute with water and drink through a straw each day, morning and night. I also use it to gargle with if I feel a hint of a sore throat coming on. Doing this and rubbing our 10ml roller, Illness Warrior, on my neck seems to knock anything out of me immediately.
When I first became serious about making health changes I started with one change per month. It does not feel overwhelming or costly to do it this way.
